Distinctive Unit Insignia
A gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a dark blue rectangle with axis vertical bearing a gold open book with white pages issuing a gold stylized demi-figure of the Concord Minuteman between on either side a gold torch and at top a red fusil with axis horizontal bearing a gold star, and enclosed in base by a red scroll inscribed "QUI DOCET DISCIT" in gold, the ends entwined about the torches.
The Minuteman represents the National Guard. The torches stand for leadership and the pursuit of knowledge. The book denotes education and the attainment of learning. The diamond refers to the Arkansas state flag and reflects the Center's location. The star recalls the goal of the Center to achieve the highest standards in education. Dark blue is the color traditionally associated with the National Guard. White and red are the National colors; and they denote respectively, sacrifice and integrity, while gold stands for excellence.
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 9 July 1993.
